Portugal's flag carrier, with a strong presence on transatlantic routes.
TAP Air Portugal is Portugal's flag carrier, founded in 1945. From its hubs at Lisbon and Porto, it flies to Brazil (Rio, São Paulo, Fortaleza and more), North America, Africa and across all of Europe. It is a member of Star Alliance. Having gone through a nationalization-and-privatization process between 2021 and 2024, the airline is currently being restructured. The A320 family and the A330 form the backbone of its fleet, and it is especially strong across its Portuguese-speaking network in Brazil and Africa.
