That said, in running a community rooted in the aviation industry — a field that carries a high degree of public responsibility — we believe it is the duty of the PILOT VALUE team to engage sincerely with the integrity of that information and to keep improving and refining it day by day.
As the operator of a platform for sharing reviews, PILOT VALUE makes every possible effort to ensure that it causes no harm or negative impact to the aviation industry or to society at large.
Every report submitted is screened manually by our operations staff. Working from our own report response guidelines, we check rigorously for confidential information and inappropriate language, and any content judged inappropriate is withheld from publication.
As part of our commitment to guaranteeing the "quality of information", we require every report to be at least 300 characters long, deliberately setting a bar for posting. We also restrict copy-and-paste functionality in order to rule out casual reproduction of material from elsewhere, so that only first-hand, lived information from individual pilots is collected.
On every page where information is displayed, we provide a form that allows readers to report to us any post they feel is inappropriate or inaccurate. When a report is received, our staff checks the content promptly. We also award points that can be used on the site to users who submit useful reports of inappropriate content, so that the community as a whole helps raise the accuracy of the information.
PILOT VALUE rating scores aggregate the valid ratings submitted by pilots who have actually worked at the company. Scores are not a simple average: they are calculated using our own algorithm so that they serve as a more reliable indicator of "market value". To prevent bias toward any particular period, we also apply logic that keeps a score from fluctuating excessively until a certain number of responses has been collected.

From a neutral standpoint, PILOT VALUE aims to play the role of conveying the true appeal of each airline through unfiltered first-hand voices rather than advertising.
Our aim is to create an environment in which "companies that value their pilots" are rated more highly, and fairly so, than "companies that do not", and in which the finest professionals gather at the airlines that are run with integrity. We believe that this will contribute to the healthy development of the aviation industry as a whole as it approaches the 2030 problem.
